Thanks to all of you, who remind me that my clock is melting…I though I was young and beautiful and this would be eternally...but not... I am almost 32 and my clock is ticking…and melting

Anyhow I have to congratulate all my friends that have decided to get pregnant and place beautiful/healthy/gorgeous babies in front of my face...Damn thing you make me feel old and stress-out!!!...

It was almost august 2004, when I got the offer to move to Belgium with Nu Skin, with a new position, an increase on my salary and responsibilities. Once I started to look for a place to move (due to January 2005), I informed everyone, I started packing and so on...almost ready to do the big step and settle down in Brussels.



One week before to sign in my new contract, this was end of December 2004, I give my final decision, turn down the offer and chose to remain in the Netherlands...


This was not simple decision, driven by different reasons;
- Belgium did not appeal to me, it did the countryside, but it did not Brussels.
- job wise the offer was not that appealing, for the pass months most of the Design / Art direction is done in the department in the USA, and there is very little room for creativity in our department, we are often asked to follow / copy the American design and adapted to the European needs
- The turn the whole company is doing, most of the management in key positions are American, there is a continuos felling of chaos in the European market. out of the 8 staff we were ask to move to Brussels, only 2 took the decision to follow in the company
- I am already settling down in Netherlands, got my resident permit, I am entitle to get social benefit after the time working in Nu Skin, plus all the skills and work experience I have won working there. I a bright future..
- The Netherlands is a country still appeals to me, a feel this country still has a lot more to give me. I know is also handy for most of my friend, since I am here two years ago many friends came to visit; Joel & Cristina, Kathy & Owen, Cristina, Isa & Ana, Estrella & Blanca, my sister & my brother in-law, my Ant & Uncle, Marta & Ashley, Carol (have I forget anyone?...and many more than I am sure would come by to see me (and smoke some too...)......if I Compere to my sisters once and only visit I had during the 7 years I was in Ireland...this country rocks..at least lots of you think so!!!

so pretty much here my reasons not to move and to stay in The Netherlands, and I am more than happy with the decision...Belgium is not for me yet..perhaps in the future...but first I want to explore and use as much as I can get form Netherlands...
